Our Story Exhibition

Intro

Our Story: Aboriginal–Chinese People in Australia shed light on the little-known history of Aboriginal and Chinese relations in colonial Australia.

The exhibition explored themes of identity, survival, resilience and cultural connection, tracing these enduring legacies from the gold rush era to today. Curated by artist and researcher Zhou Xiaoping, this project drew on historical records and oral histories to bring these untold stories into the collective consciousness of all Australians.

This project included the conceptualisation and delivery of all 2D graphic and illustrative elements utilised throughout the exhibition space, the visual identity, and various other design elements.

Working alongside the National Museum's team and Design Community, Artikel Design developed a visual identity and exhibition graphics to reflect the unique objects and rich stories in the collection for this exhibition.
